KOH NAI SING SENSEI – 6th Dan

Chief Instructor

Koh Nai Sing Sensei began his Aikido journey in the early 1980s and became an instructor in the late 1990s. In 2003, he founded Club Aikido Singapore, establishing a space for dedicated training rooted in both tradition and adaptability.

With a deep passion for various forms of martial arts, Koh Sensei has, over the years, come to appreciate the intricate balance between speed, power, precision, reflex, and awareness. He recognizes that each individual is unique in both physical and mental makeup, and therefore believes in a flexible, straightforward approach to training—one that allows students to learn and internalize techniques more effectively.

Sensei advocates for an open and free mindset, where ideas and forms flow naturally. By sharing and exploring together, he believes that learning, growth, and progress become boundless.

At the heart of his philosophy lies a simple truth: Harmony and love are the roots of peace and true co-existence.

'The key to good technique is to keep your hands, feet, and hips straight and centered. If you are centered, you can move freely.

The physical center is your belly; if your mind is set there as well, you are assured of victory in any endeavor.'

-O'Sensei
